An exciting update from Pastor Dale about the West Palm Beach Campus.

Dear Community of Hope Family,

I felt the need for our church family to hear from me regarding an important update concerning our beloved WPB campus.  Since receiving the challenging news from our insurer in April, informing us they would no longer be willing to insure the WPB campus after August, and then, the follow-up decision by our Lead Team to bring our ministry season at this physical location to an end,  our church leadership has been working hard to accomplish all that is being asked of us during this time — one responsibility, of course, to list our campus for sale.

Following two weeks filled with incredible interest and offers from churches and organizations, we are thrilled to announce that we are under contract with an asking price offer from Journey Church of Palm Beach County!  Our Lead team met, via Zoom last Thursday to discuss the offers we had, and, though substantial, we did not feel God’s peace.   And, after asking God to raise up a third opportunity for us — we received a late offer from Journey Church that we immediately sensed God’s presence and leading.

Like Community of Hope, Journey Church has been in ministry in our county for over two-decades, and experience the same kind of growth our church is experiencing.
I, (Pastor Dale) have spoken with Pastor Scott Baugh, founding and lead pastor of Journey Church, and we are both humbled at how God has moved in a beneficial way for both churches during this time.

Pastor Scott and I have enjoyed cheering each other on as we work to reach people for Christ within the particular area we each serve in Palm Beach County, and both of us feel that God is indeed involved in this opportunity.  Both Scott and I agreed to make this announcement to each of our congregations this weekend, and we will be working together in the coming weeks as all of this comes into reality. We are also most grateful that this news allows us the opportunity to continue to honor our time in this space as a church. We will continue with our services through July 14th at the West Palm Beach Campus and will move through the process of relocating through August as originally planned.

Personally, I am thrilled that this means that this sacred location for so many of us will continue to be a place where Jesus is honored and people are reached!  Our real estate broker advised us that, if at all possible, another church would be the best opportunity for COH, and this has indeed proven to be the case!

Join me in praying for God’s best for Journey Church and for Community of Hope in the next several weeks.

In His Love,

Pastor Dale
