Jessica's call to ministry has been shaped by a lifelong commitment to walking with Jesus. A graduate of the University of Florida, she earned her MA in Theological Studies from Asbury Theological Seminary in 2024. Jessica has faithfully served on staff at Community of Hope since 2015 and currently serves as the Executive Director of Discipleship and Family Ministries. She brings a deep passion for forming disciples of all ages—helping children and families know they are seen, loved, and invited into God’s story, and walking alongside adults as they grow in faith, spiritual formation, and lived obedience to Christ. Jessica and her husband Zak are raising their children, Charlee and Evelyn.

Brandon’s call to ministry was formed at Community of Hope, where he began attending with his mother at the age of seven and first encountered Jesus during our years at Royal Palm Beach high school. Brandon served in youth ministry at COH, where he sensed a growing call to pastoral ministry. He went on to pursue formal theological training, earning his Master of Divinity degree from Asbury Theological Seminary in 2022 and completed his studies while helping launch the Lake Worth Campus of Community of Hope. Brandon currently serves as the Campus Pastor of the Lake Worth Campus, where he brings a deep passion for forming disciples of Jesus and building Christ-centered community. Brandon and his wife Haley are raising their two children, Mack and Claire, as they live out a shared calling to serve the local church.

Why Ordination, and Why Now?

Dear Community of Hope Family,

Happy New Year to each of you! I'm writing to share about a “first ever” significant event that is coming to our church family.

As all of you know, in 2023, our pastoral leadership team and our lay (non-staff) leadership team, which we call the Lead Team, decided to step away from the denomination that birthed us. This decision came from a deep conviction that God was calling us to more specifically embrace the mission God founded our church upon, which is to: “ interest disinterested people in Jesus Christ and grow together into fully devoted followers of Him.”

One responsibility this decision created was that as a non-denominational church in the Wesleyan tradition, we would now hold the responsibility to credential (ordain) the people we believe God has called to pastorally lead our church into our divine future.

As such, on Friday evening, February 20th, at 7pm on our Loxahatchee Campus, Community of Hope will hold its first ever ordination service! On this special evening, we will consecrate into full-time vocational ministry, Jessica Stafford and Brandon Weaver as pastors, serving alongside Pastor Trevor and myself. We invite our church family to join us for this special inaugural evening. Space will be limited, so we invite you to mark the occasion early!

As an added blessing to this sacred event, I have invited my good friend, Pastor Jacob Armstrong, founding pastor of Providence Church in Mt. Juliet, Tennessee, just outside Nashville to be our guest preacher for the evening.  You will not want to miss his challenge, both to Jessica and Brandon, as well as to our congregation.

Mark your calendars for this important event in the life of our church!

E. Dale Locke
Founding & Lead Pastor
