José and Giselle Marrero
Campus Pastor - East Campus

Jose was born and raised in Miami, Fl in a Cuban household. He met his wife, Giselle, at a local Christian bookstore. They quickly fell in love and got married in June 2018.

Growing up in a family of worship leaders, Jose began serving in worship ministry at the age of 10. As he grew and later served as the Youth Pastor in his local church, Gladeview Baptist Church (GBC), Jose heard God’s call to ministry through a series of events in his mid-late teen years. That next semester, Jose transferred to Palm Beach Atlantic University where he graduated with a BA in Biblical and Theological Studies and a Master of Divinity. Throughout the first half of his seminary experience, Jose continued to serve as the Youth Pastor at GBC in Miami. Upon moving to begin his MDiv, he served as Youth Pastor, and later, Associate Pastor at Haverhill Community Church. It was here where God confirmed in Jose’s heart his calling specifically to pastoral ministry and where he married his wife, Giselle. Giselle is on staff with First Care Women's Clinic, a COH Missions Partner, serving as an accountant and is currently finishing her Master Degree in Accounting.

After finishing seminary, Jose was ordained at GBC, an honor he holds dear from the church where he discovered his calling to ministry. In the Fall of 2020, God led Jose and Giselle to Community of Hope to serve as Assistant Director of Worship. After 9 months of serving in this capacity, Jose is humbled and honored to join the pastoral staff at Community of Hope as the COH East Campus Pastor.

Jose’s passion is to see people find hope and grace in Jesus and help them grow and mature in their faith. In addition to his heart for ministry, Jose loves reading, basketball, creating music, and Cuban food!

Jose will officially become Campus Pastor of East Campus in late May or early June. Stay tuned for our official date!

Brandon and Haley.jpg

Brandon and Haley Weaver
Campus Pastor, Lake Worth Campus & Multisite Director of Campus Ministry

Originally from West Palm Beach, Brandon and Haley are thrilled to return to their home town and home church of Community of Hope! Brandon and Haley met for the first time on a Sunday morning at Community of Hope as elementary schoolers, and were married at the East Campus in January of 2018.

While working on his bachelor degree at Florida Atlantic University, Brandon served as the Director of Student Ministries at Community of Hope, as well as many other intern roles across his time in college. Brandon is beginning his final year at Asbury Theological Seminary, where he will complete a Master of Divinity in the Spring of 2022. Brandon is a hobby guy, and always loves learning something new – he recently took up roasting coffee, and continues enjoying woodworking, hunting, fishing, and cooking with Haley.

Haley holds a Ministry Leadership degree from Palm Beach Atlantic University and a Master of Divinity from Asbury Theological Seminary. Like Brandon, she has formerly served on staff at Community of Hope in various internship capacities. She is transitioning to Community of Hope after 6 years on staff at Asbury University working on the Student Development team, and has loved her time investing in college students.

Returning to be on staff at Community of Hope has been a dream for both Brandon and Haley. They feel uniquely called to serve Palm Beach County, and to continue in the mission of Community of Hope which has shaped their lives – “to interest disinterested people in Jesus, and grow together into fully devoted followers of Him!”

Brandon and Haley's first day as Campus Pastor of Lake Worth Campus and Multisite Director of Campus Ministry will be on June 15.
